Jersey description: Atlético de Madrid home jersey for the 1996/1997 season, in overall good condition (7/10). This iconic model has an original blue and white design with the BANDAI sponsor on the front and the Atlético crest sewn on. The jersey shows quite a lot of bobbling on the front and back, several pulled threads, a cracked Puma logo, as well as the absence of the drawstring at the collar. Despite these age-related flaws, this piece remains a true classic of 90s Spanish football.
The story of the jersey: This jersey corresponds to a significant period for Atlético de Madrid at the end of the 1990s. After the famous Liga + Copa del Rey double in 1995/1996, the Madrid club remained one of the most popular teams in Spain thanks to its strong identity and spectacular playing style.
